Our Ankara Visit for Nevruz

Nevruz is cheerfully celebrated and observed by Turkish people and the related cultural continent and has spread in many other parts of the world, including parts of Central Asia, South Asia, Northwestern China, the Crimea, and some ethnic groups in Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia.Nevruz marks the first day of spring ,It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox, which usually occurs on March 21 or the previous/following day depending on where it is observed. These ceremoies has placed in Ankara.

Turkish Folk Tales "Keloğlan" and "Nasreddin Hodja"

Turkish folk literature is an oral tradition deeply rooted, in its form, in Central Asian nomadic traditions.One example of this is the series of folktales surrounding the figure of Keloglan, a young boy beset with the difficulties of finding a wife, helping his mother to keep the family house intact, and dealing with the problems caused by his neighbors. Another example is the rather mysterious figure of Nasreddin, atrickster figure who often plays jokes, of a sort, on his neighbors.

These tales are anonymous and in every tale Keloglan finds himself in a trouble situation and finally he solves the problems with his cunningness.

POLISH FAIRY TALES

DEAR FRIENDS we would like to present you one of the most
famous Polish Legends: “PAN TWARDOWSKI” – “MR TWARDOWSKI”

According to an old legend, Twardowski was a nobleman who lived in Kraków in the 16th century. He sold his soul to the devil in exchange for great knowledge and magical powers. However, Twardowski wanted to outwit the devil by including a special clause in the contract, stating that the devil could only take Twardowski's soul to Hell during his visit to Rome – a place Twardowski never intended to go.
Twardowski quickly rose to wealth and fame, eventually becoming a courtier of King Sigismund Augustus. He also wrote two books, both dictated to him by the devil – a book on magic and an encyclopedia.
After years of evading his fate, Twardowski was eventually abducted by the devil while visiting a restaurant called Rome. Twardowski started to pray and the devil dropped his victim midway to Hell. Twardowski fell on the Moon where he lives to this day.

Questions for Turkey

THESE ARE QUESTIONS THAT 6A WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU.
1. Have you got a canteen at school? We do.
2. What is a traditional dish in Turkey? In Poland it’s broth ( beetroot soup), dumplings filled with cottage cheese, meat or fruit.
3. Do you go to school by school bus? We don’t. Some of us go to school by bus but it isn’t school bus.
4. What grades do you get for your work? The best we can get is 6 and it isn’t easy to get it. The worst is 1.
5. Do you bring your books to school every day or you leave them at school? We do. Our schoolbags are very heavy.
6. What subjects do you learn? Our subjests: Polish, Maths, English, Science, Art., Music, Phisycal Education, Religious Studies, Information Technology, History.
7. Do you have discos at school? We do.
8. What games do you play at school? We play soccer, volleyball, basketball, table tennis.
9. How many lessons have you got every day? We usually have 5 or 6 lessons per day.( 45 min each)
10. What time do you start and finish school? We start at 8 o’clock and finish at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 pm.

Nakkaş-Arnavutköy-İstanbul

Nakkaş is a small district between Arnavutköy and Çatalca. It is 40 km away from city centre Istanbul. It is surrounded by forests, agricultural fields and lakes. Breeding and agriculture are the main working fields in our district.Nakkaş is an old Ottoman Village in fact. Fatih Sultan Mehmet the conquerer of the Istabul gave this land to his Seal Holder as a present.Because of this in Nakkaş there is an Antique Mosque and Graveyard from that ages.

This is our school.
There are 480 students in our school in the agr raging from 7 to 13.
the lessons start at 8 o'clock and finish at 2:30, but not every class has the same number of lessons each day so sometimes the students go home earlier.
The subjects taught at our school are: Polish, English, Maths, Science( Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography) Music, Art, Craft, Information Technology, Phisical Education, Religious Sudies.
